A Statewide Plan for Independent Living (SPIL) is a roadmap that helps make our state more accessible and inclusive for people with disabilities. It outlines goals and actions that support independent living—like better housing, transportation, community supports, and equal opportunities. It’s all about empowering people with disabilities to live the lives they choose.

INSILC is hosting four virtual forums to get input from people with disabilities on what should be prioritized in the 2027-2030 SPIL.

We will ask questions like:

  • What are the biggest barriers you face to living independently in your community?
  • What supports or services would make the biggest difference in your everyday life?
  • In what ways do you feel your community could be more accessible or inclusive?

Join a forum and make your voice heard about what Hoosiers with disabilities need to maintain self-determination and consumer control.
