Day of Action at the Indiana Statehouse

Join Us at the Statehouse

Thursday, January 29, 2026
9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. ET
Third Floor South Atrium

Join us at the Indiana Statehouse for a Day of Action focused on disability advocacy. INSILC has partnered with The Arc of Indiana, Autism Society Indiana, and Down Syndrome Indiana to host this Disability Day at the Statehouse in downtown Indianapolis.

This is an opportunity to share your voice on issues important to you and your family and to engage directly with policymakers about legislation impacting people with disabilities and their families.

Preparing for the Day of Action

Ahead of the event, we encourage participants to schedule a meeting with their State Senator and Representative. Fact sheets and talking points will be provided to support your conversations with legislators, whether you meet with an elected official or a legislative aide.

Schedule a Meeting

To schedule a meeting with your State Senator and Representative:

1. Find their contact information at iga.in.gov/information/find-legislators.

2. Email and/or call their office, identify yourself as a constituent, clearly state your purpose, and request a 15–30 minute meeting.

3. Meeting with a legislative aide is also valuable, as they are knowledgeable about the issues.

We will also have fact sheets and talking points available at the event.
