Join INSILC for the South Bend Disability Town Hall – July 15

 

You’re invited to INSILC’s third Disability Town Hall on Tuesday, July 15 from 3:00–7:00 PM at the Century Center in South Bend (120 S Doctor M.L.K. Jr Blvd).

This free event is a chance to connect directly with local policymakers and share your voice on the issues that matter most to Hoosiers with disabilities. You’ll hear from elected officials, ask questions, and take part in breakout discussions on critical topics like healthcare, transportation, employment, guardianships and alternatives, and disaster preparedness. Your input will help shape Indiana’s next State Plan for Independent Living.

Agenda Highlights:

3:00 PM – Welcome from INSILC Executive Director Mike Foddrill
3:15 PM – Q&A Panel with State Representative Maureen Bauer and State Senator David Niezgodski
5:00 PM – Q&A with South Bend Mayor James Mueller
6:15 PM – Roundtable Discussions on key disability issues

Snacks will be provided (some free, some for purchase). ASL and CART services will be available. To request additional accommodations, please note them during registration or email info@indianasilc.org at least two business days in advance.

Registration is preferred but not required. Come to listen, share, and help guide the future of independent living in Indiana.
